Chess classes for children 4

More on this list

Children’s chess classes with a published timetable are rare in Mexico City, and ESNAJ is where they are easiest to find. Its branches in San Pedro de los Pinos, Pedregal and Las Águilas list classes for children beside the adult groups, on weekday afternoons after school and on Saturday mornings, with enrolment and monthly fees set out on the school’s pages. A place is booked by WhatsApp before the first visit.

LudiChess, in the Parque Interlomas shopping centre in Huixquilucan, describes itself as a club and academy and takes children; it has run a Children’s Day tournament with a section for the under-sevens. For school-age players who want competition, the directory also lists the school league of Chess for Life and the Huixquilucan tournament for secondary-school pupils.
