Mexico City Chess

Send a place or fix a card

Use this form for two things: a chess place, class or recurring tournament in the Mexico City area that is not listed yet, and a card that says something wrong or out of date. Anyone may write: club officers, organisers, teachers, parents, players.

A link does most of the work: the club’s page, the tournament record, the school’s timetable, a dated post. Messages are read together at the next revision, compared with that page, and each change that follows is dated under recent edits.

What are you sending?
For a new place: what kind of chess happens there, and when. For a mistake: the line on the card that is wrong.
The address of a web page, tournament record or post where this can be read.
So the message has a sender; it is never shown on the site.
A phone number or a messaging handle, if you prefer not to give an email.

One contact is needed, email or another. It stays private and is used only if you ask for a reply.

How the contents of this form are handled is set out under privacy and terms.

What happens next

  • Your message waits with the others until the Mexico City list is next revised.
  • It is then compared with the club’s, school’s or organiser’s own pages; where they bear it out, the card changes and the change is dated under recent edits.
  • Where no page supports it, the card stays as it is and keeps its “unconfirmed” wording.
  • You get an answer only if you ask for one and leave a way to reach you.
